It is one thing to plan or have a goal and yet it is another thing to now go fully into fulfilling such plans or rather doing all it takes to make sure your plans go as planned. Yes I know that it isn’t all plans that go as planned but you must also ask what are the major reason most plans don’t go as planned? The simple answer is that along the way some of us lose focus or are simply tired of the whole hustle that surrounds our plans.
You might have a plan to save 50% of your monthly earning for a couple of years to save up for purchase of a house but you must agree that this isn’t an easy task because it will mean you living below your salary for this period and will mean you depriving yourself from your normal standard of living for this period. This might really be uncomfortable for you but you just have to do it so as to have the house you desire. But just having such a plan for most people is not enough it requires something I would like to call a psychological drive/goal drive. From personal experience and interview with some multi-millionaires who are mentors I have gathered some secrete that I have found common to them all which they abide by to see their goals become a reality. I shall now list them below
STEPS TO KEEP YOU MOTIVATED TO ACHIEVING A GOAL
1. Break you long term goals into sections/Have a break:
If you have a goal of building a house or buying a car that cost like 10 million with savings that may take a year or two. Why not break it down and say I will save this and this much of cash monthly? It helps keep you on track rather than saying in 2 years I will save 10M.If you just plan the full cash it might be shocking that you won’t achieve the plan of 10M as expected.
2. Have a break:
Whenever you save a fracture of cash as in the example or achieve a portion of you goal relax and give yourself a pat on your back. It is good to appreciate yourself for every of your efforts.
3. Give yourself a treat:
If you achieve a good extent of your goal then why not reward yourself with something you love. Like a meal you hardly eat or have a journey to somewhere you like being. This brings you back more refreshed and happy to go on achieving your goals.
4. Have a definite deadline for all goals:
Every goal is a project you have taken open yourself and so you must know well the critical path and time for such a goal to be achieved. You must give yourself a fixed time for each goal.
5. Have a watcher:
A watcher in this case is someone close bye, who will act as a ref for all your activities. The closer this person the more motivated you tend to be to achieving your goals. This can be your wife if you are married, you father as in my case or mother. Just someone you love to make proud. Someone you want to impress with all your works.
So guys these are a couple of things most successful men I have talked with have in common with each goal they set for themselves, they have the driving force coming from the above listed points. And these helps them being motivated till those goals are a reality. I hope this was helpful. Zstripes loves you
